Ahmed El Batrawy, founder of the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform, affirmed that Dubai’s real estate experience represents a global model in governance, transparency, and technological integration. He noted that the efforts of the Dubai Land Department reflect a deep understanding of the role of technology in creating a secure and attractive real estate market.
He added that Dubai’s smart system provides digital screens displaying real estate sales transactions instantly, along with accurate maps and verified data, achieving high levels of transparency and security and enhancing investor confidence in the property market.
He pointed out that Dubai’s success was not a coincidence, but rather the result of serious institutional work that transformed vision into tangible reality, contributing to strengthening the emirate’s position as one of the strongest real estate markets globally.
Why Has the Experience Not Yet Been Implemented in Egypt?
Ahmed El Batrawy explained that the delay in implementing a similar model in Egypt was not due to a lack of technology or qualified expertise and skilled minds, but was previously linked to the absence of an integrated system and effective institutional cooperation, rather than to a shortage of available resources.
He noted that Egypt today possesses all the technological tools necessary to implement a fully integrated digital real estate system within a short period, adding that within just one year, similar screens could be operating in the Ministry of Housing, real estate development companies, and every professionally run entity within the local market.
A Real Estate Wealth Supported by Conscious Political Will
El Batrawy confirmed that Egypt possesses one of the most prominent and powerful real estate assets in the region, supported by advanced new cities, massive national projects, unprecedented infrastructure, and a historic urban expansion being implemented on the ground.
He explained that what has been achieved would not have come to light without a conscious and courageous political will that recognizes governance as a necessity rather than a luxury, technology as an effective tool rather than a mere appearance, and transparency as a fundamental foundation for building a modern and sustainable state.
No Room for Random Practices Now
The head of the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform emphasized the need to eliminate unregulated practices in the market, including informal trading, unlicensed advertising, selling without registration, unauthorized real estate marketing, and collecting citizens’ funds without oversight. He emphasized that the current phase requires serious work, modern thinking, qualified cadres, and effective technology to achieve a tangible transformation in reality.

El Batrawy concluded his statements by stressing that Egypt is moving steadily on the right path, explaining that change may take time.
