Ahmed El-Batrawy, Chairman and Founder of the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform, explained that the idea of establishing the platform began approximately four years ago with the aim of organizing the real estate market in Egypt, focusing on enhancing transparency and facilitating secure property sales in a way that benefits citizens and investors alike.
During his interview with broadcaster Lama Gabreel on the program “Studio Extra” on Extra News channel, El-Batrawy noted that the development of the platform took nearly three years. This was due to the massive size of Egypt’s real estate market, which required the creation of a strong infrastructure to ensure the operation of an integrated system based on reliability.

He added that the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform relies on advanced technology provided by the global company CoreLogic, which specializes in real estate organization in the United States, Canada, and Europe. This technology aims to enable global connectivity through protocols that facilitate dealings with international brokers and investment institutions. All components of the platform were developed by a young Egyptian team through E-Systematic, the company that owns the platform.
El-Batrawy also explained that the platform operates in full coordination with the Ministry of Housing, serving as the ministry’s technological arm. It receives direct support from the Minister of Housing, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, in addition to the support of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Communications. He confirmed that the platform’s recent launch witnessed significant public engagement, posing a positive challenge; however, the platform successfully managed the high demand efficiently without any technical failures or operational issues.
