Approval of the Strategic Plan for the New Ras El Hekma City

In a step that highlights Egypt’s future directions for urban expansion and urban development, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities issued Decision No. 3 of 2026.

This decision carries important news related to the New Ras El Hekma City, as the general strategic plan for this ambitious city has been approved, marking a new focal point for investment and urban expansion in the country.

According to what was published in the Official Gazette Al-Waqa’i Al-Masriya, specifically in Issue No. 17 Supplement dated January 21, 2026, Article One of the decision clarified the significance of this approval. The plan covers a vast area of up to 170.8 million square meters and is considered an integral part of the document attached to the decision.

These details aim to enhance clarity of vision and reaffirm the commitment to developing the New Ras El Hekma City, which was established under Presidential Decree No. 151 of 2024, to advance sustainable development and respond to the needs of growing demand.

In the same context, Article Two sets the framework for the immediate implementation of this decision, stipulating that it shall be published in the Official Gazette and come into force starting from the day following its publication date.
