Banks in the UAE are providing financing facilities for the purchase of under-construction properties with completion rates ranging between 35% and 50%, through partnerships with real estate developers aimed at supporting the market and meeting the growing demand for housing, particularly in Abu Dhabi. These partnerships help accelerate the delivery of units and boost activity in the real estate market.
Demand for mortgage financing has seen a noticeable increase of 10–15% since last year, driven by the diversity of residential projects and population growth compared to the number of available units.
Experts confirmed that regulatory frameworks and bank escrow accounts enhance buyer confidence and protect their funds, with expectations of continued liquidity injections to keep pace with demand.
Specialists also expect the market to grow by 8–12% by 2026, especially with the delivery of more than 12,000 new units this year and the continued cooperation between banks and developers to provide flexible financing options.
Abu Dhabi’s real estate market recorded strong performance in 2025, with transactions exceeding AED 140 billion, supported by rising sales, financing activity, and off-plan deals. Al Reem Island led in the number of transactions, followed by Yas and Saadiyat islands.
This performance reflects the strength of the real estate sector and the emirate’s attractiveness to both local and foreign investments, with growth expected to continue in the coming years.
