Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor stated that the real estate sector is among the most important long-term investment options, emphasizing that investors should focus on markets they understand well and feel confident about, according to Al Bayan newspaper.
Al Habtoor highlighted the positive performance of Gulf economies, particularly the UAE economy, which has demonstrated strong resilience and a high ability to adapt to regional and international changes. He noted that Dubai’s real estate market, in particular, has achieved sustainable growth over the past five years without sharp fluctuations or significant price declines, supported by continued demand that reinforces key sectors.
In a video shared on the platform “X,” Al Habtoor stressed that investment is not limited to financial returns alone but also includes a sense of security and peace of mind regarding the country and its investment environment.
He recalled advice from the late businessman and former minister Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, who advised him to avoid investing in places that are difficult to understand or access.
Al Habtoor pointed out that real estate represents tangible assets that can be seen and dealt with practically, making them investments that serve current investors while extending benefits to future generations. He added that tangible investments provide a level of direct control that many traditional financial instruments lack, noting that successful investment depends on understanding the details of what one invests in and monitoring it personally.
He concluded by stating that the stability and resilience of markets give investors confidence to navigate periods of uncertainty, noting that the economy and real estate assets will always emerge stronger and more sustainable.
