The price of a three-bedroom semi-detached house in County Donegal increased by 3.6% to reach €215,000 over the past three months, according to a recent report. The average time to complete a sale in the county stood at five weeks.
In Bundoran, prices jumped by 4.8% to €220,000, while Milford recorded a 2.4% increase, bringing the average price there to €210,000. Demand for properties remains strong despite limited supply, according to officials.
The survey showed that 33% of buyers in Donegal are first-time buyers, while 55% of sales involved homeowners exiting the market. Additionally, A-rated properties are seeing prices that are 22% higher compared to those rated C.

At the national level, the average price of a semi-detached home rose by 1.5% to €364,747, reflecting an annual increase of 7.67%, although this marks a gradual slowdown compared to previous months. In Dublin, the average selling price reached €595,453, representing a 6.6% annual increase, despite a decline in the proportion of first-time buyers to 39%.
Outside the capital, prices in major cities rose by 1.2% annually to €378,250, while smaller towns saw a 9% increase, with average prices reaching €281,287. Rural areas experienced a 1% rise, bringing the average price to €377,185.
