The Saudi Real Estate Registry announced the start of receiving applications for the first title registration of 15 property plots distributed across three neighborhoods in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Madinah. This process includes part of the Al-Wadi neighborhood in Jeddah Governorate in the Makkah region, in addition to part of the Ajyad neighborhood in Makkah itself.
Property owners in these areas are required to complete the registration of their properties before the end of Thursday, April 16, 2026. Registration will also be opened for part of the Al-Mahbouba neighborhood in Madinah until the end of Thursday, April 23, 2026.
The Real Estate Registry urged property owners to take advantage of the digital platform (rer.sa) or the Real Estate Registry application to complete their registration. It is also possible to contact the Customer Service Center at 199002 to inquire about the required steps and procedures.
The Registry emphasized the importance of registering properties within the specified deadline to benefit from its services and facilitate real estate transactions, while avoiding the penalties and fines stipulated under the Real Estate Title Registration Law.
The Registry explained that it continues its efforts to register properties in the designated areas to enhance reliability and transparency in the real estate sector by establishing a comprehensive real estate register that serves as a unified reference for property-related information across the Kingdom.
Registration will result in the issuance of a “Property Number” and a title deed for each registered property unit, containing accurate information including geographic location, owner details, property description, status, and associated rights and obligations, in addition to documenting all real estate transactions that may occur. This system contributes to strengthening the sustainability of the real estate sector and supporting its development.
Regarding the determination of the areas included in registration, the General Real Estate Authority relies on various criteria based on its role as the competent authority for this project in accordance with the Council of Ministers’ decision and the Real Estate Title Registration Law.
The National Company for Real Estate Title Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for implementing the establishment and management of the real estate register using the latest technologies, integrated digital platforms, and geospatial data, which supports transparency and trust in the provision of real estate services and related information.
