The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) has rolled out a range of online property services via Bahrain’s National Portal, bahrain.bh, in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority. The newly launched services cover property registration and ownership transfer, application status tracking, and electronic fee payment, supporting the government’s goal of consolidating services on a unified national platform.
This initiative supports the Government Program (2023–2026), particularly its focus on expanding digital services and enhancing the quality and efficiency of government operations.
According to SLRB, users must access the new services through eKey and the upgraded eKey 2.0 system. The property registration and ownership transfer service enables applicants to submit information and upload required documents electronically through a secure and user-friendly interface. In addition, the inquiry service allows users to monitor application progress, make necessary updates, and complete payments online.
Basim bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, said the launch of these services on the National Portal marks an important milestone in the Bureau’s digital transformation efforts.
He explained that several development initiatives have been implemented this year, including upgrades to digital infrastructure, enhancements to electronic workflow and geographic information systems, the adoption of electronic signatures, the activation of a remote service centre, and stronger system integration with entities involved in property registration.

Al Hamer added that the Bureau is currently rolling out the second phase of its development programme, which aims to improve connectivity with both government and private sector organisations involved in property registration and ownership transfer.
This phase focuses on unifying data, streamlining information exchange, and improving workflow processes to deliver faster, more reliable, and fully integrated services within a comprehensive digital government framework.
He also noted that close collaboration with the Information & eGovernment Authority ensured a smooth transition of services while meeting all technical and operational requirements, reflecting the government’s commitment to providing innovative services that meet user expectations.
Al Hamer highlighted that electronic property registration services were first introduced on the Bureau’s website in 2020, enabling users to complete transactions without visiting offices in person. In 2025 alone, more than 26,000 property registration applications were processed through the website.
He emphasised that migrating services to the National Portal is part of an ongoing development plan aimed at enhancing real estate service quality, simplifying procedures, and strengthening integration among relevant entities, in line with Bahrain’s vision of creating an advanced and sustainable digital services ecosystem.
