At the beginning of 2026, the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah continued to consolidate its position as a prominent tourism destination at both the regional and global levels. Hotels across the emirate recorded high occupancy rates exceeding 90% in a number of properties, supported by growing demand and visitors’ confidence in the quality of services and the diversity of tourism experiences offered.
Officials in the hospitality sector confirmed that the strong start to the new year was driven by the mild winter weather, the diversity of the tourism product, the development of integrated infrastructure, and the high standard of services provided. They also pointed to plans to introduce special offers for the month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr to attract more guests.
Support for the Local Economy
Iyad Rasbieh, Vice President of Destination Tourism Development at the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, explained that the growing demand has directly contributed to stimulating the local economy and strengthening the competitive position of the tourism sector, thanks to the wide range of experiences and services available.
Achievements in 2025
According to data from the authority, the emirate recorded tangible growth in 2025, welcoming around 1.35 million visitors, an increase of 6% compared to 2024, while tourism revenues rose by 12%.

Expansions and Strategic Partnerships
The authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Philippa Harrison, described 2025 as an exceptional year due to the variety of tourism events and the opening of new hotel projects, in addition to concluding strategic partnerships with online travel platforms, particularly in the Chinese market.
John Riad, General Manager of Hampton Marjan Hotel, pointed to his hotel’s strong performance at the beginning of the new year, supported by early bookings and strong demand from returning guests. He added that expectations indicate positive stability in performance during the month of Ramadan, driven by international guests and regional markets.
Riad also confirmed the launch of comprehensive Ramadan packages that include a variety of iftar meals and complimentary suhoor, with a focus on delivering an exceptional hospitality experience that goes beyond merely seeking to increase occupancy rates.
Winter Tourism Activity
Cameron McNally, General Manager of InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa – Mina Al Arab, explained that the resort started the year strongly, with demand expected to increase further with the arrival of Eid Al-Fitr and the continuation of tourism momentum throughout the winter season.
