Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to follow up on the progress of implementing “The Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform” project, aimed at opening new markets for exporting Egyptian real estate.
The meeting was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials, most notably Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Counselor Adnan Fangari, Minister of Justice; and Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, in addition to several other government officials and specialists.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister explained that the growing demand for Egyptian real estate—particularly from many countries—was the main driver behind establishing an electronic platform that facilitates property ownership for Egyptians living abroad as well as foreigners.
The platform aims to attract different categories of buyers and offer multiple options suitable for diverse segments, thereby enhancing the state’s foreign currency revenues. He emphasized that real estate investment is a government priority due to its vital role in economic development.

Amr Talaat presented a detailed overview of the features of The Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform, noting that it is a comprehensive government platform designed to export real estate in a safe and transparent manner.
The platform relies on digital technology and governance standards to protect data and verify ownership of real estate units documented through the unified real estate national ID. The minister clarified that the platform’s main objective is to regulate real estate export, ensure credibility, and enhance the confidence of foreign investors, while guaranteeing full state supervision in line with Egyptian property ownership laws.
In the first phase, more than 3,000 units in New Alamein City were added to the platform after issuing their real estate national IDs. The project is set to expand in subsequent phases to include units in cities such as the New Administrative Capital, New Mansoura, New Rashid, and Sheikh Zayed, along with listing projects by private real estate development companies. The platform will also provide additional services, such as notifications of new units to investors and certificates of suitability.
During the meeting, Sherif El-Sherbiny reviewed the outcomes of the first and second phases of the project, explaining the progress achieved in registering units and training real estate marketers to use the platform. He also indicated the possibility of offering new units in several cities in the near future after completing their data.
For his part, the Minister of Justice spoke about the draft decision related to real estate transactions, which includes all necessary facilitations to improve the buyers’ experience and safeguard their rights. He confirmed that this development enhances legal security for buyers and prevents any duplication in the sale of units.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade highlighted Egypt’s significant potential to attract investments in the real estate sector. He spoke about the government’s efforts to simplify procedures related to the residency of foreign investors and the registration of real estate properties purchased through the platform.
In the same context, Tarek Shoukry expressed his appreciation for the government’s efforts in this file, stressing the importance of accelerating the facilitation of residency procedures and strengthening coordination between the government and real estate developers. He also presented a number of proposals to enhance customer attraction and encourage greater utilization of the platform’s services.
The meeting concluded with messages underscoring the pivotal role that the real estate export platform will play in boosting the Egyptian economy and increasing foreign currency reserves.
